Toska

Ella wakes up from a dream and finds herself surrounded by torn up artwork pieces in her apartment. She sees a reminder on the wall shows that today is the last day of performance exhibition 'Soil of the Homeland' at Toska Museum. She walks out on the street and meets an old lady, who gives her a confusing direction; she encounters a little girl, who has lost her father; she meets a Chinese food vendor who sells Americanized dumplings; she also sees a deaf street painter who portraits people when they get older. In the end, the little girl's adoptive mother comes and takes her away, and Ella finally finds the Toska museum. Directed by Zoe Zou (USA)

The Escape Room

"Escape Room" is an award winning film (best screenplay, best editing, nominated for best film, best music score and best acting) about a brilliant student who is bullied in high school and suffers from OCD reluctantly joins her popular friends at a horror-themed Escape Room game. When the group realizes that a revenge-seeking Game Master has set them up in a custom-made deadly trap, the five teenagers start turning on each other. They have to join forces in order to get out of the room alive. The theme involves love, trust, teen issues and the importance of friendship. It is our hope to inspire audiences to pursue the idea of standing up for one another when confronted with adversities caused by a valued one. Directed by Bessy Adut (USA)

Unconditional Love

Unconditional Love, a short documentary film about the value of education and community building for refugees, features the Collateral Repair Project (CRP) in Amman, Jordan. Through original music and narration by on-site instructors and volunteers, Unconditional Love delivers a fresh perspective on the challenges and triumphs faced by survivors of war-related trauma—many of them children. Filmmaker Julia Meloy Goldsby highlights the humanity and kindness of the everyday heroes working at CRP and their genuine desire to find hope beyond displacement.
