Umit Kozi

Umit Kozi

“Ümit Közi” — a thread of hope — is a documentary series that traces the creative paths of contemporary artists across Central Asia. Directed by Aisultan Seit and brought to life with the support of Tselinny, the series offers an intimate portrait of a region in artistic bloom.
In April 2025, the Tselinny Center of Contemporary Culture will unveil its new permanent home — a space where past and future meet. Once the grandest Soviet cinema in Central Asia, the building has undergone a profound transformation under the vision of acclaimed British architect Asif Khan. What was once a relic of another era now stands reborn as a living, breathing hub of creativity — a place for exhibitions, performances, screenings, concerts, and collective gatherings.
