Wake Up

Wake Up

At a talent show in a rural town, one student summons the courage to finally seize his moment and perform a routine he’s been perfecting in his imagination for years. What starts as an awkward shuffle spirals into utter chaos. When the smoke clears and the music fades, the boundary between reality and fantasy dissolves.

A playful, early-2000s–tinged comedy, the music video transforms stage fright into spectacle, finding humor in panic while highlighting the courage it takes to step into the spotlight. Featuring blink-182’s Mark Hoppus as the school’s uncensored, would-be game show host principal, it’s a joyful ode to teenage dreams, public embarrassment, and the art of surviving it all.

The music video was viewed more than 150,000 times on YouTube within its first 10 days of release and is already garnering industry recognition, including a nod at the 2026 Clio Music Awards in Los Angeles. It has been submitted to SXSW, where People R Ugly are set to perform live, and was already named an ‘Official Selection’ of the 2025 Los Angeles Stars Film Festival.
