“I am a Hong Kong person. Hong Kong give me money, give me work, give me my kids… my wife here and my house here. That’s why I am a Hong Kong people.”
In 1969, Jacky arrived in Hong Kong as a child. He didn’t just learn Cantonese on the streets—he fought for his place in it. This documentary pulls up a chair at his table for an intimate, unflinching portrait of belonging.
Jacky recounts his journey from being taunted as an outsider to becoming a cornerstone of his community. With raw honesty, he shares how he built a life through hard work, how he gives back 10% of his earnings to those in need, and why he firmly believes: “You cannot eat 10 fingers at once.”
This is a story about what it means to earn an identity—not by where you’re from, but by what you build, what you give, and the home you choose to protect.
