“Heart’s Too Cold” is a fully independent music video created, performed, and produced by Luke Angelo. The song itself—written, played, recorded, mixed, and mastered entirely by Luke without any AI—remains purely human, while the video uses cutting-edge AI generation to transform his storyboarded prompts into cinematic, dreamlike visuals.
Set against a hyper-futuristic, cyberpunk-vaporwave cityscape, the video blurs the line between the mundane and the fantastical: a lone figure visits a VHS store, waits at a coin-op laundromat, and drives a Lamborghini Countach LP 5000 QV through neon-lit streets all night—yet it’s unclear whether we’re witnessing an external reality or the inner fantasy world inside his helmet. The piece becomes a meditation on the boundary between the real and the imagined, the human and the artificial—an invitation for viewers to wonder what he’s searching for, what memory or love he’s chasing, and whether his “cold, cold heart” can ever be found. And just when you think you’ve solved the mystery, the ending hints that the truth may be stranger—and more haunting—than anything you imagined.
