This video is part of a twelve-part visual album chronicling my personal evolution as a music producer, romantic, and survivor of life in Los Angeles. Centered on the theme of human vulnerability, the song explores how unresolved childhood and adult traumas give rise to destructive behavioral patterns—particularly the tendency to seek out or remain in relationships that mirror past verbal abuse. The chorus poses a simple yet poignant question: Why do we stay trapped in these familiar but harmful cycles?
Visually, the video portrays emotional baggage as literal, weighty objects the protagonist struggles to carry. Each burden slows their progress, offering a stark metaphor for how internal wounds impede personal growth. It’s a reflection on the inertia of pain—and the courage it takes to let go.
