Description: Confessional rap song – Dark love story rap “As Rapper Shampagne, I want everyone to know that ‘Losing Ace’ comes straight from real life. I met him in Miami—cool as ice in a Lamborghini, neon lights bouncing off his shades—and in that moment I felt the raw pulse of danger and desire. That encounter lit the spark for this track; his story demanded to be told.”On her deathbed in Miami, a woman recounts the fatal allure of a Lamborghini-driving gangster who stole her heart. In a hushed, slow-burn narrative rap, she recalls the rush of first love, the sting of betrayal, and the moment a gun pressed to her temple. Each verse peels back layers of passion and violence—late-night fights, whispered apologies, and the intoxicating thrill of danger. As blood paints her final world in vivid colour, she confronts the question that haunts her last breath: why did she love someone who only knew how to break her?“ this is a slow burn narrative rap Miami love gone wrong”
But The Real Message Is “Stop The Violence Against Us Women”
I’m Sally Clack-Manning, co-director and writer of Losing Ace Remix—a visceral, confessional music video born from a life-and-death encounter on the neon streets of Miami. Shot as a slow-burn narrative rap, this piece weaves together the pulse of danger, the sting of betrayal, and the final breath of a woman who loved too fiercely. Every lyric, frame, and blood-red hue is drawn from my own near-fatal brush with domestic violence—when a gun was pressed to my temple, I realized how easily love can slip into violence.
Losing Ace Remix isn’t just art; it’s an urgent warning. Relationships can feel like swimming in a vast ocean—inviting and exhilarating, yet capable of drowning you if you don’t know how to surface. Through this video, I aim to shock and galvanize women everywhere: understand the warning signs, trust your instincts, and never dive so deep that you can’t find your way back to shore.
By submitting to your festival, I hope to spark vital conversations around partner violence, transform discomfort into action, and build solidarity among survivors and allies. Thank you for considering Losing Ace Remix. Together, let’s harness its raw honesty and cinematic power to stand up, speak out, and save lives.
