Clare Kramer is struggling to make ends meet and raise funds for her father’s end of life care. She finds an unexpected life line when her actor friend, Nick, has her fill in for him at his ‘mourning for hire’ service. Clare is surprised to find that the work is enjoyable and extremely lucrative. Her success in the new field is ultimately tested when she has to mourn for real. Will she be able to feel? Or has pretending to feel muted that possibility?
