Cornered is a gritty, emotionally charged short film set inside a North London boxing gym. It follows Michael, a reformed ex-gang member turned coach, who now teaches discipline, faith, and restraint to the next generation of young men. But when Cillian Doyle – a charismatic, volatile figure from Michael’s past and the son of a former criminal associate – arrives at the gym, old wounds resurface.
Cillian doesn’t come to fight fair. Armed with psychological manipulation and a taste for chaos, he challenges Michael not just to a physical battle, but to a test of everything Michael now stands for: restraint, redemption, and spiritual strength. As tensions escalate and the fight begins, Michael is forced to choose between the man he used to be and the example he now wants to set.
In front of the very boys he’s trying to protect, Michael must confront his former life – and prove that real power comes not from violence, but from knowing when to walk away. Cornered builds toward a climactic, emotionally layered showdown where strength is redefined, forgiveness is tested and legacy hangs in the balance.
