The loss of the husband and father causes a profound trauma for the small family of three.
The mother withdraws from reality and escapes into a dream world where her husband still exists.
The son, who desperately tries to free her from her depression, initially has no success. Eventually, he too enters her dream world and thus finds the way back to her heart.
