The Moirai (Fates) hire their sister Eris (Goddess of chaos and strife) to cat sit while they take the eye to Zeus. While gone, Eris decides to explore the hovel and finds the fabric of time which contains every soul to walk the earth.
When one of the cats follows her into the well room where the fabric descends into the earth she panics, not wanting to lose one of her sisters’ precious cats, or damage the fabric. Unfortunately for her, being a girls with hair of thorns, the worst happens. But she manages to get the cat to safety only to hear the footsteps of her sisters, who shouldn’t be back any time soon.
Now Eris has broken their most basic rule: stay out of the workroom, she’s damaged the fabric of time, and she has no time to fix it or hide what’s happened.
