A deaf-mute man, Ting Ren, tries to stop a student from unboxing a mystery box at a convenience store but fails. He is wrongly accused of being the perpetrator due to a video that is taken out of context. Faced with social pressure and misunderstanding, he embarks on a journey to find the truth and clear his name.
In the age of “fast food information,” social media often distorts and edits content to create sensationalized stories in order to attract attention and profit. Audiences, lacking full context, easily fall into stereotypes and misconceptions, particularly toward vulnerable groups. Disabled individuals, especially the deaf-mute, are often trapped in helplessness and confusion, unable to speak for themselves. This film explores the distortion of information, social indifference, and the plight of disabled people in contemporary society through the story of Ting Ren, calling on viewers to reflect on the moral responsibility and empathy in the age of “attention economy.”
