Ricardo returns, after many years, to the ranch where he was born and raised, to visit his father, Andrés, and his new wife. During the visit, Ricardo begins to remember events that his mind had blocked out, unearthing resentment toward his father. At a family dinner, each memory brings him closer to discovering why it is forbidden to talk about his mother, Emma, ??on that ranch.
