Mercy Me is a plea for divine or superhero intervention in our troubled world (political violence, climate change, threats to democracy, etc.). The video uses a comic-book motif to take the viewer on an inspiring journey of hope which culminates in a message of contemporary relevance. The song itself aims high, written and composed with raucous stadium singalongs in mind.
