A prostitute (Liliana) is pulled into an interview with a story writer (Deverell) about her career and both have an insight into their power dynamic. As Deverell digs further into Liliana’s life, she is persuaded to reveal more about herself until the climax where she turns the tables against Deverell and uses his questions against him. Although Liliana momentarily emerges victorious, we see her return to the dark reality of her life which remains unchanged.
This short aims to explore the hypocrisy of altruism and politics of pity.
