Chimera: An Architectural Love Letter to Los Angeles

Chimera: An Architectural Love Letter to Los Angeles

So often we find Architecture in the city to be brutally economized and lacking in depth of understanding the human and cultural experience. Our animation aims to show people what Architecture could be. Moreover, the building itself is meant to be a symbol of the Architecture the world deserves: one that cares about its people. Equally this Skyscraper is a love letter to the city of Los Angeles exploring the marketplace culture scattered in the city, the queer culture, and lastly the underground scene. Lastly, throughout the film we see the Architecture in a state of constant use in misuse; thus, Architecture should not be pristine and unmovable but up to the persons creativity of how to use the space. This is the true way in our eyes to make an inclusive design for everyone regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation.
