Jasper, a handyman, has a dream of becoming a famous writer. He peeked into the lives of his clients while writing about them in his own stories. By chance, he arrives at the home of the anonymous writer Charlie. After watching Charlie succeed in life, Jasper’s jealousy takes hold of him. When Charlie insults him, Jasper kills Charlie in anger and takes his place, living Charlie’s life.
