The film narrates the story of String, an extremely self-disciplined and success-driven screenwriter, and the employee, who symbolizes his inner desires. The film follows how they confront and heal each other. From a young age, String loved writing but was forced by his mother to practice the violin. As an adult, even though he has escaped his mother’s control, the long-term oppressive upbringing has already turned him into a person like his mother. String quits his job as a violinist to revive his dream of screenwriting, with a burning desire to create an innovative and perfect screenplay that no one in history, domestic or foreign, has ever achieved, aiming to win the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. His obsession with the Oscars, combined with the extreme self-discipline ingrained from childhood, leads String’s psyche to gradually collapse and externalize into the employee.
