The Good, the Bad, the Ugly AKA Twittersphere

The Good, the Bad, the Ugly AKA Twittersphere

A 360° short film about the experience and emotional impact of social media. As we navigate through the online world, we interact through the medium of electronic messages. Who is behind these messages? Teenagers, activists, comedians, victims, abusers, trolls, jokers and bots designed to sow discord and division. All speaking in a stream of data that affects our very human experience.

What would a sentient social media say to us?

Initial attempts to have AI write the script were abandoned as Chat GPT has been modified to avoid the very things that thrive in social media. Guardrails protect us from offensive or controversial responses. Sterilised for safety. No longer reflective of the darker side of humanity.

A play on the title of Sergio Leone’s classic spaghetti western. Set in the arid desert with a three-character standoff between The Rage, The Sorrow and The Joker all vying for your attention.
