

“Mr Nightmare” is a gripping psychological thriller that delves into the dark and surreal world of Dean, a troubled young man plagued by haunting dreams and a fractured reality. The film opens with a dream sequence where Dean witnesses a disturbing sexual encounter, involving his mother Sandra, which takes a sinister turn when she viciously attacks him.
In the real world, Dean meets his psychiatrist, Dr. Alexandra, and together they explore his troubling condition of sleep paralysis and the tormenting nightmares that haunt him. Dean reveals his unsettling encounters with a malevolent figure called Mr. Nightmare, who manipulates his dreams and memories, leading his mother to harm him.
Determined to decipher the roots of Dean’s disturbing dreams, Dr. Alexandra initiates the innovative Somnolucid Dream Mapping procedure, providing access to Dean’s dreams for further analysis.
Within the dreamscape, Dean once again faces the sexually charged encounter, As the dream unfolds, he becomes the target of his mother, Sandra, now transformed into a menacing figure with red demon eyes and a blood-filled mouth. Frightened and paralyzed, Dean struggles to escape her wrath.
Upon awakening from the dream, Dean’s turmoil intensifies when he notices Dr. Alexandra’s peculiar behavior, eventually leading to an unsettling attempt to seduce him. Amidst his confusion, he perceives yet another mysterious presence in the room, culminating in Alexandra’s transformation into his mother, launching a violent attack on him.
As the narrative takes a startling turn, Dean awakens in his psychiatrist’s office, but the psychiatrist is revealed to be Dr. Bones, not Dr. Alexandra. Dr. Bones uncovers a haunting truth—Dean’s past trauma and injury have led him to become a patient in a psychiatric asylum.
