In an alternate dystopian world, JESSICA, a militant activist mobilizing an upcoming protest against the ruling authoritarian state, must put aside her ideals and face THEODORE, a cunning bureaucrat, to save her immigrant lover, ALI, from being deported. With his life on the line if not deemed Adequate and granted a Belonging Visa, Ali pleads for Jessica to cooperate and not give into her combative instincts.
Despite a comforting welcome at the Department of Homeland Belonging, Theodore’s insidious intentions surreptitiously surface in an interview that feels more like an interrogation. Conflicted between her ideals and Ali’s safety, Jessica is faced with an unbearable ultimatum.
