When Nate gets busted for a drug deal gone sideways, he assumes his life is over. With a dead best friend and a slew of charges later, he was prepared to accept his long 8 year sentence. Then, just 3 years inside, Nate’s defending lawyer is found guilty of murder and racketeering, and suddenly his case is reopened for review. All of a sudden, his sentence is reduced to a year long stay at a halfway house, but his troubles are hardly over. Nate is suddenly faced with two options: go back to the streets, or earn his college degree. Now, to fit in to his temporary surroundings, he finds himself on the run (literally), not just from the residents and crooked managers but from a past he simply cannot forget. Will he be able to educate himself long enough to negotiate this program? One thing is certain, his story is only half started.
