Dear Covid-19

Dear Covid-19
Dear Covid-19

“Dear COVID-19” is an Anthem of hope during a time of global disruption and widespread human struggle. Our aim is to remind people that we are resilient and strong and that we are are not alone, no matter what we’re facing.

This film is anchored on the idea that radical love, kindness, generosity, and togetherness have always been our secret weapon against the kind of devastation that we are currently experiencing. It is a reminder that humanity is undefeated and that we will make it through this, together.

This film is narrated by the Director’s 6 year old daughter and pieced together using archive footage from our past projects, historical public domain footage, and some fresh shots filmed during COVID-19.

The film concludes with an acknowledgement that aftershock of COVID-19 will be a pandemic of mental health challenges that we must fight together if we are to flourish again. The film was launched during Mental Health Week and closes with an invitation for viewers to help support mental health organizations and access help if they are struggling.

We had no agenda for this film beyond simply spreading hope and pointing people towards mental health resources and supports in a time of great need.
